Political life in Texas

The Austin American Statesman has a nice short story on the political rise and decline of John Sharp.  Ken Herman describes Sharp as “a guy who has run against a man with a famous senator’s name and a guy with a dead president’s name.” It’s an excellent reminder that the path to power in Texas isn’t always a straight line and one of those stories that keeps Texas politics interesting.
