Two-thirds of Texas congressional delegation named in report on ethics lapses

"Family Affair" reportIt’s hard to get two-third of Texas’s congressional delegation together on anything. Despite this, a report from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington finds something many from the Texas delegation share.

According to the Texas on the Potomac blog of the Houston Chronicle (“Two-thirds of Texas congressional delegation named in report on ethics lapses) the states’ representatives have been pretty successful and making money for their family members. Some of these cases seem misleading or represent very small amounts of money that were probably well-earned. However, some of the members of Congress appear to be pretty deep in the cookie jar and the excuse that it’s all within the law is not that convincing coming from the people who wrote the laws.
